Clan Gathering | 2012

The Gathering for 2012 - exactly 100years after the first Gathering - will take place during the week from the 18th to the 24th of June 2012, with the Gathering itself at Duart castle on Saturday the 23rd June 2012. Details of events and how to register can be found at the Clan Maclean website

This 43 strong pipe band will travel all the way to Duart Castle from Northern Ireland to perform for Duart Castle visitors. The 2012 trip celebrates the pipe band's 65th anniversary.

Classic Car Display - with Scottish Riley Enthusiasts

Sun 27th May - 11am to 3pm

50+ members of the Scottish Riley Enthusiasts will be showing off their classic Riley models dating from 1927 to 1969. Visitors can wander around the range of cars on display in Duart Castle's car park and speak to the owners to learn more about this beautiful automobile.

The Queen's Diamond Jubilee Beacons

Mon 4th June - 10pm

Along with over 2000 UK locations, Duart Castle will set alight a giant beacon (bonfire) to commemorate Her Majesty The Queen's 60 year reign over the UK. PLUS, fireworks and hotdogs!

How to get here:

Travel to Mull via the Caledonian MacBrayne ferry from Lochaline to Fishnish or from Oban to Craignure. Duart Castle is a 20 minute drive from Fishnish and a 10 minute drive from Craignure. The Duart Coach meets the Oban ferry daily throughout the summer.
